My son is 11 and he knows that when I'm sick, he has to take care of himself. I don't let him cook, but he knows how to go and heat up a hotdog(microwave), or grab some cereal or something. I drag myself up only for dinner!lol

Teaching kids early will keep you from an early grave. It's so easy to let stress get the best of you because you are trying to do it all.

I started my daughter early and at 12 she can cook, bake, do laundry, mow the lawn, and do anything else in the house. I told her if I can't do it she'll have to do it there is "no if ands or buts about it."
