I heard about this story, too. I feel for this mom. She probably joined the reserves for the extra money not thinking that she would actually be deployed. I feel for the baby. To be without your mom for a whole year. Those are the best times. She will miss all of her baby’s ‘firsts.’ I hope everything works out.
