Home Atlanta Local Events 25 Days of Christmas: Let’s Start with a Musical About a Grinch

Day 1 – Wow! I can’t believe it’s already the December 1! The year has gone by too quickly, hasn’t it?

25 Days of Christmas RichSingleMomma.comDespite all the ups and downs I’m looking forward to Christmas and all the fun, events, shopping, and joy it brings.

Over the next 25 days I will be sharing all the things that make this time of year one of my favorites. I’ve decided this year I will make it extraordinary and special. I will tell you about all the programs we attend, the deals we find, and the last minute rush to find the perfect gifts.

To start I will tell you about a musical my son and I attended a couple of nights ago. It was a pretty good start to the Christmas season.

We went to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas the Musical at the Fox Theater her in Atlanta, GA. It was a cold, cold night and with wind was whipping around the buildings with a vengence. My son learned a lesson in being prepared if you want to stay warm and I learn that I can never judge a Grinch by his color.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas the MusicalThe show was awesome and much funnier than I expected. I was the story of Dr. Seuss’, How the Grinch Stole Christmas set to music. There were the old familiar songs we’ve heard year after year from watching the cartoon, plus a few new ones.

The Grinch was hilarious. He was more of a misunderstood character that needed a little love to make his two-sizes-too-small heart grow.

You can read the rest of my review over at my friend Amy’s blog, AtlantaWithKid.com. She is the reason my son and I got to go so I wrote a full review about the show at her website.

Our Christmas has started with a bang and I’m sure there is more good stuff to come. So comeback tomorrow for more Christmas goodness brought to you by RichSingleMomma.com!
