Home Atlanta Local Events Food Drive to Fill Local Pantries

Each year, thousands of families in Georgia feel the affects of hunger. Fortunately, there are organizations that are doing all they can to change this and help the families in need.

I am a part of a network that has committed to helping eliminate hunger. The Multicultural Media Network has organized a food drive to benefit the Food for Thought Project.

The food drive was organized to bring awareness to the hunger problem in Georgia and in our world. Millions of people are starving and as much as we would like to help everyone in the world it would be impossible. But we can help our nearby neighbors.

The event will be held at Mia’s Pizza and Eats in Cumming, GA on November 5, 2011 from 4:30-7:30. Check out this post for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate from Mia’s. It’s easy to participate and be entered for a chance to win one of many incredible giveaways. Even if you don’t win one of the main prizes, you still have the opportunity to take advantage of the discounts and coupons codes from local businesses.

This event is also a chance for the members of the Multicultural Media Network to meet our readers. I guess I should introduce them to you, huh?
