I’m Thankful
Living the single mom life has it’s advantages and disadvantages. Parenting solo can be a double-edge sword of both joyful indepedence and exhaustion. I am one of the joyful independent ones (though it can get exhausting) so I want to take a minute to express my thanks.
- I am thankful for my two beautiful children. They are a very bright spot in my life.
- I am thankful for the love of family and friends.
- I am thankful for the ability to reach for my goals and see my dreams come true everyday.
- I ‘m thankful for a God who loves me and makes sure that I have everything I need.
- I am thankful for life experiences because they’ve made me the person I am today.
- I am thankful for love.
What are you thankful for?

Great things to be thankful for. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving! I joined in Marie’s meme too.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I apologize for not getting back to you regarding the Single Mom Spotlight. But, if you can, please send me a brief bio about yourself so I can add you by this weekend. I did an interview with a reporter at the Philadelphia Inquirer today about single parents who are finding inspiration in Barack Obama’s election and family background of a child of a single parent. Thus, I would really like to profile you before the story runs.
She told me she found me by googling “Single mother Barack Obama.” (I profiled his mother in my Single Mom Spotlight.) The reporter is hoping the story will run in this Sunday’s paper. But, if not, it’ll be early next week.
Again, have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I enjoyed reading your list of things you are thankful for. Thanks for joining our meme at Mommy Community. Have a fabulous Thanksgiving day!
