Link Love for my SMB’s (Single Mom Bloggers)
Over the last few months I have connected with some amazing women. They are single moms who are talking about everything from parenting to dating to managing the money. It is truly heartwarming to visit their sites and learn about their lives and the difference they are making in the world.
So I thought I’d pass on some link love to these extraordinary women, single moms like you and me, who are not afraid to let the world know that they are forces to be reckoned with on the blogosphere!
Single Moms Getting Educated
MizInspired at Mis Inspired Mind is a profound single mom going to college and sharing her thoughts about life, class, and love.
Ms. Bar B at A Place of Comfort is mommy to a gorgeous little girl and is also a fulltime student in college. She shares thoughts about her life, has a positive attitude, and oddly enough much like me!
Single Moms Dating
Rachel at Single Mom Seeking blogs about dating, raising an interracial child, and work. She is the author of the book of the same title.
Ms. Single Mama writes about dating, life, and her beautiful little boy. She is very open about her life and shares the many lessons she’s learned and the joys and sorrows of life.
Single Moms Money
Single Ma at Fabulous Financials is all about creating a financially secure future for her daughter. She is one of the first single mom blogs I read and I admired her financial transparency then and still admire it now. She is building her net worth and paying down her debt. Her journey and tips are eye-opening and refreshing.
Single Moms Co-Parenting
Deesha at Co-Parenting 101 is showing divorced and never married parents how to co-parent their children. Her website is filled with tips and stories of how to partner in the parenting even if you are not together anymore.
Single Mom Everything
Caroll at Empowered Single Mom talks about celebrity single moms, politics and social issues. She also adds a little comic relief and keeping-the-kids-straight advice.
Single Mom Homesteader
Patrice at A Single Mom’s Adventure into Urban Homesteading blogs about her life as an urban homesteader. She has a garden and chickens as well as a growing daughter that she showers all her love on.
There are many more single moms in the blogosphere that are making their marks and telling it like it is. Everyday they debunk the myths of lazy, curlers-in-the-hair, welfare moms. They are intelligent, bold and hard working. They are this week’s recipients of my link love.
If you or a blogger you know deserves some link love comment and I’ll include them in next week’s SMB link love post.
Love to you all!

Great post! I enjoy a lot of the blogs on your list
Wow, there are alot of single moms out there. I just had to add that I was talking with a woman and it shocked me about her comment…my daughter Lea and I were telling her that we raised chickens and she said, “Oh you must be married.” I said, “No, I’m not married.” She said, “Then how do you have chickens?” I was caught off guard…I’ve been a single mom for 12 yrs plus and I was surprised that she thought we couldn’t do anything without a man. I kept thinking about this website and putting some of the Single Mom’s Rock type of banners on my website too because we are strong and we can do anything!!!
Great list. I need to check them out. And thanks for including me. Pssst, I’ve been debt free since Nov ’07. It’s a great feeling!
Thank you SO much for adding me to this list.
Many of these names are new to me as well, so I’ll definitely be checking them out.
@Single Ma – Congratulations on being debt free! That is a great accomplishment and one that I am aspiring to. Your blog is very inspiring.
@Ms. Single Mama – You are very welcome. I enjoy reading your blog. It seems the list of single mom blogs is growing. I am planning to do a blog carnival soon and hope you will be a part of it.
@ Patrice – It’s amazing that people still think that a woman has to have a man to do anything. But I guess that comes from being sheltered and uninformed.
Awww. Thanks so much for the love. I give it right back to you. You are a huge inspiration to me and I am so happy to have stumbled on over here when I did =). I am looking forward to checking out all the other wonderful ladies.
Just found your blog! Gonna have to check out your book and also these other single mama’s you’ve mentioned here! Good stuff!
Thanks for featuring me in this post. I’m in great company with these fabulous single moms. I’ll be sure to check them out, especially since you’ve already done the hard part, and that’s finding them.
