Home Atlanta Local Events Mars Needs Mom Atlanta Movie Review

I’ve been seeing the trailers for Mars Needs Moms and knew I wanted to see it. Early reviews said it was good and the message was particularly important for kids. After seeing a screening of it yesterday yesterday in Atlanta have to agree.

The movie was really good and the message was great too. It was plain enough for the smallest child to understand. Moms are important. But there was another message in the movie that struck a cord with me as well…the importance of fathers. I won’t go into any details because I don’t want to give anything away, but when you see it you will understand.

Milo is an average kid, a typical boy who loves to have fun. Taking out the trash and eating his broccoli is not remotely on his list of fun things to do but his mom is there to help him learn that it is an important part of life. He doesn’t appreciate her efforts to teach him these things but that changes when he realizes that he could lose her forever.

The film is filled with funny parts and lessons of the value of family, friendships, and fighting to keep them together.

My son really enjoyed the movie as well. He got a nice goodie bag filled with Mars Needs Moms promotional items. Here is a picture of him with his Martian ears on.

The movie comes out around the country on Friday. Check it out for an hour and a half of fun and celebration of mothers..both on Earth and on Mars.
