83I am declaring 2009 as my Year of Giving. One of my favorite bible verses is Luke 6:38. It tells me that when I give I will get back even more, so much more that I won’t be able to hold it all.
When I give I am making deposits into the universal bank account. By helping others I help myself. At first glance it seems scary to give and expect nothing in return from the person I am giving to. Giving from the overflow in my life teaches me generosity and self-sacrifice. This is the only way I can truly reach my full potential.
You might agree that as a single mother I do enough giving. I do; but it’s easy to give to those I know and love. What about those people that I don’t know but who could benefit from what I have to offer? Giving is not just for you but it’s for me too. So let the giving begin.
Free Ebooks
The first thing I am giving away is all my current ebooks. They can be a blessing to you and so I want you to have them. The only thing I ask in return is that you pass them on. Tell all your single moms friends about them and send them over to pick up their own copies.
Monthly Giveaway
The second thing I am giving away is a hard copy of my book, 100 Secrets of Successful Single Motherhood. I am giving one a month to the lucky lady that leaves a comment on the day I put the book giveaway up (in a couple of days). That’s all you have to do. The book will be mailed to the person who is chosen by random selection. The good thing is you have 12 chances to win (once a month). Giving definitely does feel good. To see the happiness in another’s eyes, to know the power of the smallest gestures, its a good feeling. I am currently giving my talent. I love to crochet and will be making baby blankets to give as gifts to friends who are caught up in this recession and are expecting.
Definitely look for the giveaway in a day or two.
Good for you for sharing your talent! I tried to learn how to crochet years ago but I never got the hang of it. Those moms will be blessed to have such cozy blankets. I still have the one my Grandmom made for me about 20 years ago. Still in good shape.
