RichSingleMomma.com Celebrates 3 Years!
Three years ago I moved to a Atlanta, GA to start a new life. My brother encouraged me to move here because he knew I would thrive . It took a few weeks for me to gather the courage to go. I had been through a bad divorce and was not sure of much of anything any more.
I wanted to start over but was afraid I’d make the same mistakes over again. My brother assured me it would be okay and that I could live with him until I got on my feet. That was a very generous offer from him. It made the transition easier to have that kind of support.
I did not have a job lined up before I moved and at the time things were starting to go downhill economically. Businesses were laying off and real estate had hit rock bottom. It was an uncertain time but I had enough faith in God and encouragement from my brother to move and do what I had to do.
While I was putting out resumes and getting dead end calls from recruiters I decided to start a blog. I wanted to document my journey of financial empowerment.
In 2004 I graduated from college with honors and worked for a very good company for great pay and benefits. I was able to buy a home and new car and get my credit in a very good place. I felt very fortunate to achieve my goals and dreams. I knew that it was because of faith and hard work. I knew that from then on I would always have a measure of success and I wanted to share it with the single moms of the world and anyone else who needed a little encouragement and motivation to succeed. I moved on three years later after my divorce with the confidence in knowing that I would have repeat success.
Even before I went back to college after being out for 10 years, I learned how to look for ways to make extra money. I did everything from tax prep services, to resume services, to desktop publishing service. If there was something I didn’t know how to do I learned by reading or asking someone to teach me.
Learning new skills is definitely one of the secrets to my success. Here at RichSingleMomma.com I stress that fact. The other secret is to learn to capitalizing on the skills you learned and either teach someone else or put it to use and make money from it.
So this website has evolved and become the #1 personal finance website for single moms. I’ve had the opportunity to write guest articles on other websites, be interviewed on radio shows, interview celebrities, and build a community of wonderful women who just want to live a stress-free life.
To celebrate I invite you to leave a comment below telling how this website has impacted your life and what you would like to see in the future. If you are courageous enough you can even send a video greeting wishing RichSingleMomma.com a happy anniversary. I’ll post your video below this article.
Another way I am celebrating is to slash my ebook prices by up to 75%! I am offering three of my most popular ebooks for only $4.99. This price is good for only two more weeks then it’s back to the regular prices.
I will probably offer more goodies for the next two weeks so be sure to watch your email.
I want to thank you all for being a part of my life and for all the emails you send letting me know how much you appreciate the articles and resources. Your feedback keeps me going.
You are the best!
