Spending Less On My Cell Phone Service
I have been a loyal customer of T-mobile for the last 5 or 6 years. I stayed with them because I have never had an issue with the service or their customer service. Their customer service agents are based in the US so there is never the frustration of getting my issues handled because my requests have always been understood.
But alas I am leaving because my bill keeps going up and lately I can never access my account online, which is what I prefer. I want to spend less on my cell phone bill so I’m moving to a pre-paid plan. I’ve done the research and it seems I can use my same T-mobile phone and keep my number too using Straight Talk all for $45 a month. At this price I get unlimited talk, text, and data. For me an my daughter it will be $90 and I don’t have to pay extra line fees, extra data fees, or other hidden fees.
To get Straight Talk service I have to purchase a sim card ($15) and the service plan ($45). Then I have to call and activate the service and port my current number over. After that I just pay $45 each month either online or with a prepay card for my service. I’ll get the same service I am getting with T-mobile (using my smart phone) for less money!
Next time I’ll tell you how I’m going to use this same service on the iPhone I plan to get in the next few months…
Here are a couple people talking about moving to Straight Talk on Twitter:
New phone arrived with new Straight Talk sim card. Phone number transfer process is underway.

@Mrgreeky we are actually considering Straight Talk in the future. Just add a StraightTalk sim card into a ATT/TMobile or unlocked phone

I know it’s a stretch, but are there any pre-paid options for an iPhone?
Joyce there aren’t any “official” options for an iPhone but I have seen people use Straight Talk and the ATT Go Phone plans with the iPhone. There are several videos on YouTube that show you how to do it.
