I came across this video that I think will change the way you think about bartering (trading one thing for something of equal value). I think it’s pretty cool how this guy has found a way to get what he wants without ever exchanging money

Bartering is a great way to get what you want without exchanging money. It could be a product or service that you exchange with someone who needs what you have.

Craigslist.org is one place to get started with bartering. I recommend FreeCycle.org too. I’m sure there are other places on the web that allows you to barter goods and services.

Sometimes we think and worry (and agonize) too much about money. We see it as the only way to get the things we need or want. Of course you won’t necessarily be able to pay your rent/mortgage or utilities by bartering but you can get the vast majority of things you need or want through bartering.
